According to Kentucky Tourism Cabinet Secretary Ann Latta, the economic impact of tourism in Paducah/ McCracken County was $125,876,792.

This is up 4.2% from the previous year.  McCracken County is ranked 8th in the State in tourism spending.

• Number of jobs: from 2,600 to 2,707
• Tourism industry topped $9.1 billion
• Expenditures:  up $452 million over 2001
• Tourism-related employment:  4,355 jobs

“Over 164,000 Kentuckians are now employed in tourism-related jobs,” Secretary Latta said, “and the industry contributed more than $942 million in state and local taxes.  Tourism remains Kentucky’s third-largest revenue-producing industry with a bright future.”
